Born from the exploration of femininity and symbolism in ancient Greek myths, Feast of the Immortals, is a series of works created by Ioana Baltan in 2023 in London. The collection embodies large to medium works that have at their core a feminist perspective over the Homeric texts. Within this series, Ioana brings an intimate view over the life of the goddesses. She renders the classical myths, using a contemporary aesthetics of feminine beauty trends, and fashion. In her paintings, the goddesses are depicted in an idealistic manner accomplished with a polished technique and hyper-realistic details.
