Shaolin Zhong was born in 1955. He graduated from the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang in his early years and later pursued further studies in Japan. He obtained a master's degree in textile dyeing from Tama Art University, under the guidance of his mentor Tomosaburō Hori. Shaolin Zhong has organized five solo art exhibitions and participated in numerous international and domestic art exhibitions throughout his career. He currently resides in Thailand.
